History


When our President, Scott Marquardt, began working for the Savin Corporation in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1980, he had no idea that the experience he was gaining would turn into a life-time passion for helping others in the industry. When the Savin Corporation closed the branch where Scott was based, he opened his own copier business to service the growing needs of the area. He quickly realized that selling and servicing one brand of copier was not efficient for his clientele or his company. He saw a need to carry multiple lines of business machines to meet the growing and changing needs of the business….and an idea was born!

Since expanding his business to the Gulf Coast in 1988, Copiers Plus of Florida has grown and evolved to the changing needs of our clients. We presently service and sell business machines for more than 15 brands, as well as offering the supplies needed to keep these machines up and running to meet the demands of today’s corporate and personal printing requirements.

In June of 2017 our Service Manager, Scott Ayers, came on board. We guarantee you won’t find another Service Manager in this industry more knowledgeable than he is.

Executive Staff


Scott Marquardt, President
Our president, who has degrees in both aeronautics and business, was formerly in the aircraft field. Scott entered the copy management industry in 1980 as a field engineer for Savin Corporation in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Savin closed this branch, affording Scott the opportunity to exercise his entrepreneurial spirit by opening his own copier business. In an effort to expand his business he relocated to Sarasota, and has been successfully serving the Florida Southwest Coast since 1988. 
 
Scott Ayers, Service Manager
Our Service Manager majored in electronics and graduated in 1990 as a Computer Systems Technician. He began working with a major Sharp, Mita, Panasonic dealer in New Jersey in 1992. He has been servicing Southwest Florida since 2002 and now boasts over 25 years in the industry and experience with factory training in Panasonic, Sharp, Konica Minolta, Xerox, Oce, Kyocera, Mita, Copystar, Ricoh, and Lexmark. Scott is a Xerox certified network installer and maintains color systems specialist training through Xerox, Panasonic, and Sharp.

Our clients are located throughout the Southwest Gulf Coast from Ellenton to Fort Myers. We have some outlying clients as far North as Ocala and as far South as Parkland, as well as in the states of Colorado, Michigan, Alabama, and South Carolina. While this might seem far-reaching, these are clients that began with us in the local area and moved away but just couldn’t find a more dedicated office machine company than ours.
